STRETCHING AND PASSIVE MOBILISATION
Stretching und passive mobilisation are mainly used to enhance or restore normal muscle length and influences the transport of nutrients to the muscle by increasing the blood flow. Stiffness, caused by high athletic demands, age or convalescence can be reduced using special techniques.
The horse compensates pain by overloading other structures. This can lead to altered movement patterns which, if not corrected, can lead to structural problems due to the overloading.
Mobilisation techniques can stimulate the body to return to the optimal movement pattern, this corrected movement must be repeated again and again by the rider during focused training sessions.
