Workshops about Fitness and conditioning of Sport horses, basics of equine massage, anatomically correct riding can be held upon request and are organised in some Equestrian clubs every now and then.
Content for Fitness and conditioning of sport horses:
Theoretical introduction to basic exercise physiology, how muscles work, heart rate monitoring, fatigue, tying up and how to prevent problems and injuries. Correct fitnesstesting, training possibilities and trainingplans to get horses fit for this season and prevent injuries.
Practical: Heart rate monitoring on the horse and processing the data. Fitnestests and intervall training in practice.
Content for basics of Equine Massage:
Theory: Theoretical introduction of basic anatomy and physiology, pain and ist functions; Basics of Massage, the most important techniques, home use treatment methods (red light therapy, heat and cooling therapies etc.)
Practical: Anatomy on the horse – painting muscles onto a horse, body analysis of the horse, massage techniques, stretching, general precautions, bodylanguage between horse and owner etc.
Content for anatomically correct riding:
Theory: anatomical and physiological explanation of the horses functions underneath a rider, correct muscle build up, what happens if the horse is in pain?, Massage and other alternative methods to support correct muscle performance.
Practical: Several horses will be analysed underneath the rider, exercises will be explained and ridden.
